July 20 - August 28, 2013, the City of Boulder is hosting a show at the Boulder Public Library. Artists who have created work on location or inspired by Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, will be hung in the Canyon Gallery for you to explore. The show is entitled "Art Inspired by the Land" and you can view my 52x52" art quilt, "Before Boulder." Have you seen the Boulder B-Cycle bikes at solar-powered stations around town? In May 2011, Boulder's new bike sharing program was launched for short-excursion cruiser bikes from point-to-point stations downtown. How awesome is that? To celebrate the first year of Boulder B-Cycles (and by the way, B-Cycles are also in Madison, WI, Houston, TX, Hawaii, Denver, and Chicago!) artists donated original artwork that was auctioned at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art to benefit the program, and...

Spring in Boulder...the tree blossoms were amazing but only last for a week or so. But now comes the Farmer's Market, first on Saturdays and then on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. I love looking at the colors of the market and the shapes of the veggies lined up on the tables. It's absolutely a wonderful source of inspiration for cooking and quilting!
