Fiber Art Card Workshop

This workshop is a wonderful introduction to working in appliqué in a small repeatable format that can produce many lovely and useful greeting cards for all occasions.

The instructor will cover:

  • Fabric choices for background and pattern pieces for maximum pop
  • Tracing pattern onto lightweight fusible interfacing
  • Satin stitch machine appliqué as pattern pieces are layered onto front of piece
  • Further embellishment with hand stitching or buttons
  • Edge finishing and mounting on card blank

Students will receive pattern (Guild or Shop's choice) and instructions for completing the fiber art cards in class or at home.

Students should have basic sewing skills and knowledge of their own sewing machine.
